Live Performance Opportunities in Reading, Wokingham & Bracknell
Playing guitar live, either as a solo act or as part of a band, can be one of the most exhilarating and exciting things a guitarist can do. It’s a way of expressing your musical vision to the audience and can sometimes be a nerve racking step to take! It’s often the culmination of many hours of practice and refinement of your musical skills.
For many guitarists it’s not always obvious how to take the next step to performing live. However, we are very lucky locally to have a small group of very dedicated musicians who are committed to putting on open mic events which are stylistically diverse and inclusive. They are all very supportive, particularly with those who are new to the stage. Open mic events are an opportunity to perform either as a solo artist or to meet and play with other musicians. The are free to participate in and normally suitable for intermediate to advanced players. Below are some links to open mic opportunities that will be worth checking out.
